WILD WATER
Wild
water kayaking in Malaysia started in early 1990's. Jeram Besu is the
first White Water Centre developed by Minsitry of Youth And Sports in
Malaysia in 1993. It is still a popular spot to paddle wild water in
Malaysia even after the discovery of many other rivers suitable for
this activity. Among other popular rivers are Sungai Kampar (Sungai
Itik), Chamang Waterfall, Sungai Sungkai/Klah, Sungai Slim, Sungai Singho,
Sungai padas and Sungai Kiulu.
Kuala Lumpur Canoe Sports Association is also active
in this activity. The rivers explored are:-
1. Chamang Waterfall,
Bentong, Pahang
2. Lata Lembik, Raub, Pahang
3. Sungai Kampar/Sungai Itik, Gopeng, Perak
3. Sungai Selangor, Kuala Kubu Baharu, Selangor
4. Sungai Pangsun, Selangor
